BASIC
INFORMATION ABOUT THE RACE
Adult
Race: 500 yard pool
swim, 20k bike, 5k run.
Youth Race:
10 & under: 100
yard pool swim, 3.1 mile bike, and 0.6 mile run.
11 & 12: 200
yard pool swim, 6.2 mile bike, 1.2 mile run.

$57.50 (USAT members)--Please remember if you are not a USAT member you will be required to purchase a one-day membership at check-in.

WHERE
DO THE PROCEEDS GO? The
proceeds from this event will go to the following groups: PRE-RACE
CHECK IN
Pre-race check-in will be Friday July 13, 2007 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Duncan YMCA.
There will also be check-in Saturday July 14, 2007 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Duncan YMCA.
At
this time participants will be required to show their USAT license or purchase
a one day license. Wave Time assignments will be posted at this time. THERE
WILL BE NO RACE DAY SIGN UP OR CHECK IN! PRE-RACE
MEETING
Pre-race
meetings are mandatory and will be held at 4:00, 5:00, and 6:00 pm
on Friday July 13, 2007, and 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm on Saturday July 14, 2007 during
race check in. Any additional race information or questions will be
covered at this time.

SCHEDULE
ADULT WAVE TIMES Swimmers
wil be seeded by their estimated 500 yard freestyle times. We are trying to run
the first six waves in 12 minute intervals, and the next waves in 15 minute intervals.
Food
and drinks will be available to triathletes awaiting their wave time.
We
will try to keep the lane assignments to 3 people per lane. However, we reserve
the right to have up to 4 swimmers per lane. Lane
assignments will be based on estimated 500 freestyle times. This means lanes will
be assigned by speed and not by gender. We
will do everthing possible to stick with the below Wave Times. Some of this will
depend on swimmer ability.

Bike
racking and setup will be allowed continuously. Spots are available on a first
come, first served basis.
KIDS WAVES
The
first wave will start at 6:45 am, in the following order:
11-12 year olds

RESULTS
Preliminary
results will be posted at Summit Race Management shortly after the race.
Complete
race results will be available within 24-48 hours after the race. POST

There
will be pasta salad, chips, and other food and drink.
There
will be lots of cool prizes, but you must be present to win. return

REQUIREMENTS SWIM This
is a pool swim. Pool temperature is approximately 80 degrees. No wet suits allowed.
BIKE
ANSI/SNELL
approved helmets are required for all participants. Also, aero bars must be capped,
no open or uncapped bars allowed. RUN Nothing
at this time. RULES
USAT rules apply. Rules can be found at the USAT website.

DESCRIPTION
NOTE:
This is preliminary information. A course map and further details will posted
here as they are available. SWIM The
swim will be held at the Duncan YMCA pool. This is a six lane 25-yard pool. There
will be three participants per lane, seeded by 500 yard freestyle time. T1
Swimmers
will exit the pool area out a door to the north YMCA parking lot (approximately
50 feet to their bicycles).
BIKE The
bike leg will exit out the main YMCA entrance onto Eldridge Street and travel
south: *Eldridge
south to 58th Ave.
*58th Ave west to Indiana
*Indiana south to 52nd Ave. *52nd Ave west to McIntyre St. *McIntyre
St north to 54th Ave.
*54th Ave west to Easley Rd
*Easley Rd north to 64th Ave *64th Ave west
to turn around approximately 1/2 east of Hwy 93 at the Arvada Res. entrance. *Bicyclists
will retrace this route to the YMCA entrance.
T2 Participants
will be asked to dismount as soon as they enter the YMCA parking lot and run their
bikes approximately 25 feet to T2. RUN The
run will exit east on the path along 64th Avenue: *64th
Avenue to Wyndham Park Drive *South
on Wyndham Park Drive to Braun Court *Braun
Court east to the park path *Park
path east to Meadow Lake Park *Around

SERVICES DURING THE RACE Water
and Food -- There will be no water stations on the bicycle portion of the
race. Please make your own arrangements for fluids during the bike segment. There
will be 4 water and Gatorade stations on the run segment. No food will be served
on the run. Police
-- Police will provide direction and control at every street corner on the bike
portion. Police support will also be present at the two main street crossings
during the run. Medical
-- Emergency Medical Services will be available throughout the race.
Awards
will be given out to male and female top 3 finishers in each age group and top
3 overall in each gender. You must be present to receive your award, awards will not be mailed.
KIDS AWARDS
Top
3 male and female finishers in each age group will receive a medal. You must be present to receive your award, awards will not be mailed.
RAFFLE
There
will be a raffle immediately following the finish of both races. There will be
lots of cool prizes, but you must be present to win.
Spectators
will not be allowed on deck, but there is good viewing through the windows on
the west side of the YMCA, or from the deck space in the children's area of the
pool. BIKE
-- There
are two good spots to view the bike portion: 64th
near the Arvada Reservoir
-- There is parking near the soccer fields just a few blocks away. From there,
you can walk to many good viewing areas. The
kids biking can be best viewed from Eldridge. RUN
-- The
best way to view the run is to walk from the YMCA east to the corner of 63rd and
Wyndam Park Drive. If you wish, you can walk further east towards Meadow Lake,
but you will have to hurry to get to the the finish in the ballfields of the YMCA,
if you want to see your favorite triathlete finish.
The
kids run can be best viewed from the ballfields east of the YMCA. return

There
will be no triathlete parking at the YMCA. Parking will be approximately 2 blocks
west of the YMCA on 64th Avenue at Albertson's.
